It sucks getting older. You feel more cricks and have more strains. Physically you can see the transformation from a young vibrant adult to where you are today. It may invigorate you to start exercising and taking better care for yourself for a short time. Then you're back to your normal daily grind and just trying to make it through the day.
BUT you cannot see what is going on inside of you. The aging process that is happening inside of you can be detrimental and can make you be less active. It's difficult to identify what is breaking down inside of you. You have to go do doctors and take tests.
Western Medicine is about finding the problem and using medication to correct it.
Eastern Medicine is more about preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases.
A difference between the two... If you have high blood pressure, a Western doctor will prescribe you medication to lower your blood pressure. While this takes care of the system it doesn't treat the problem. It may increase the problems. The side effects of the medications varies from medication to medication. Eastern medicine will tell you to change your diet (some foods that lower blood pressure are garlic, ginger, onions, basil, etc.) and your lifestyle.
I am not for one type of system or the other. They both have their pros and cons. I use Western Medicine but I also try to use principles of Eastern Medicine to RENEW my HEALTH.

We are all busy with our lives. There isn't enough time in the day to take care of yourself let alone finding time to exercise.
Most of us are have a sedentary lifestyle. Don't over analyze how much time you have or what you will have to do to start exercising. I challenge you to find a 10 minute pocket in your day when you can go for a walk, at first 3 times a week. I'm not saying take the stairs instead of the elevator or walk to the store. I'm just saying find 10 minutes in your day where you can go for a walk. You don't want to over do it at first. Start off with a leisurely stroll.
Schedule your walk on your calendar, input it in your phone and have a reminder set. I sometimes use phrases to remind me why I need to go on the walk. They are; HEART ATTACK, STROKE, EARLY DEATH, etc.
To help you make this a positive experience so you will continue to go on a walk, find a partner. My 80 year old mother decided that she needed to start exercising again and be out of the house. She and her long time friend signed up for a gym to take classes. Because it has become a social outing, she doesn't miss a session and makes sure to schedule around the gym. YOU CAN DO THIS AS WELL.
